The controversial tea of McDonald’s

A South Carolina man says he went to McDVOICE for sweet tea and got more than he bargained for.

In particular, it became “the size of a kite”.

The Island Packet reports that Parrish Brown went to a McDVOICE on Hilton Head Island and ordered 10-piece McNuggets chicken, a double cheeseburger and sweet tea with light ice and extra lemon.

Brown said he now believes fast-food restaurant employees think “extra lemon” is the street name for marijuana.

He said he found three bags of grass in his glass after drinking the drink.

“Well, I was drugged, terrified, and at work, so I called my father,” Brown told the media. “I didn’t want to have a problem with that.”

Brown said he never drank marijuana, so he didn’t recognize the taste.

“I have never had weeds in my life. Right after I started drinking, I felt uncomfortable and knew nothing of what I recognized,” said Charleston, a 24-year-old man.

Bob Bromage, a spokesman for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, said an investigation was underway.

McDVOICE told Fox News in an email Thursday night: “Our top priority is always the safety and well-being of our customers. We work closely with the police to confirm this claim.”
